To recognize a historic handcrafted shoe it is necessary:

1. Check the materials.
   Quality handcrafted shoes often do not have an internal label so you have to look carefully and touch the leathers with your hand to evaluate their consistency and value.

2. Check that the leathers are of first choice and that they reflect the historical aspect.
   In the case of genuine leather items, for example, the color will never be perfectly homogeneous.

3. Check the anchoring.
   The anchoring of the bottom to the upper must be perfect. In the handmade shoe, the leather or rubber sole is fixed not only by gluing, but above all by stitching.
