Osteria dei Mercanti
There are traditions that have been handed down for generations such as the BIGIO di Carmignano. Small town in the Medici hills(colline medicee).
Tradition that dates back to the time of the Medici and is still practiced now.
The osteria dei mercanti continues in the tradition of those places by producing the famous BIGI di Carmignano.
They produce them and cooks them offering them to his guests.
Now he wants to have them tasted even outside his restaurant and he wants to make them known all over the world.
The secret of Carmignano’s bigio lies in the ancient recipe but also in the ancient ingredients.
Today Osteria dei Mercanti produces Bigio as it once was with flours selected by Tuscan farmers and only from cereals grown from native seeds that the wisdom of a few farmers have handed down over time.
It is also combined with a glass of Chianti wine but for craft beer enthusiasts do not mind accompanying them with sips of TODO BIRRA made by hand with products that come from the Tuscan land.
