The road leading to the IL POLARDO estate winds its way along the gentle slopes of the hills, then becomes a short dirt road in the woods to the cottage and you immediately feel at home …
The ordered rows of vines, the foliage of the olive trees, the tall pines on the gate welcome you in an atmosphere far removed from the frenetic rush of civilization: here you follow the rhythm of nature, pruning the vines and olive trees, picking grapes and bringing the olives to the mill, immersed in a landscape of rare beauty.
The wine and the vineyards
The area of the Il Polardo estate extends for about 14 hectares, which include vineyards, olive groves, woods and arable areas and which allow quiet walks to discover suggestive and often surprising corners: the ancient trough of horses, the path to the Rio Pocciarello , the path surrounded by greenery up to the Cerretello stream …
The fenced garden around the house welcomes the large elm that stands out imposingly towards the south-west, the apricot tree between the farmhouse and the shed, the fruit plants scattered in harmonious disorder, the hazelnuts to delimit the cliff of the playground and the pool area.
In the garden, the terracotta paved spaces, like the sidewalks around the house, allow guests moments of quiet relaxation at the sight of breathtaking landscapes, perhaps enjoying a good glass of wine in company: an excellent fresh and aromatic white wine is obtained from the vineyard, suitable for the cool summers to be spent on the estate.
