In the Val D’Agri area, in the province of Potenza, Basilicata , some of the finest legumes in Italy are grown: the Sarconi PGI beans.
They are particular by virtue of their impalpable skin, which gives them superior organoleptic qualities and easy digestibility.
They cook very quickly even with very little preventive soaking.
The organic Sarconi PGI beans of the Tuvagliedda Marrone variety are among our most precious, rare and unique legumes.
It is an ecotype with an ovoid shape and brindle color, white with uneven brownish streaks.
With a sweet and delicate taste, they are ideal for the most varied preparations:
from pasta and beans to soups, excellent in summer salads or even reduced in cream as a side dish for meats and vegetables.
