With appetizers
Let’s start with bread: taken for granted, perhaps, but always appreciated, especially in the context of aperitifs with friends.
Toast it lightly and spread a veil of compote over it, creating intriguing finger food. As an alternative to bread, you can try it with both crackers and breadsticks.
You can create mini sandwiches by cutting the sliced bread into triangles and spreading a thin layer of compote. Then stuff them with fresh cheese, thickly sliced salami and a leaf of lettuce. If you love cheeses, the most suitable in the combination with this jam are the soft soft ones, such as ricotta, robiola, crescenza, but also brie and taleggio.
With meat dishes
The chilli and onion compote also goes perfectly with meat.
